A & S, Statesville TN: We LOVE our cutting our own tree each year - just before we put our tree in the stand and decorate we cut a section off the bottom like you're suppose to...but we take that little disk and paint the year on it and use it as a decoration! Each year we add another - sometimes we'll put something interesting on the back too - like the type of tree, or when we put it up - but regardless we've got a keep-sake from each tree!
