New Leash on Life

In Memory This year we will also be accpeting donations for Wilson County's animal advocacy group, New Leash On Life, in memory of our beloved Hector.

Virtually everyone that has visited met our beloved German Shephard, Hector.  He was a good natured, goofy, lovable dog that entertained everyone with his tireless frisbee/ball/stick chasing.  He was always up for a 'fetch', although his 'fetching' would also turn into games of 'keep away'...it was all in fun and you couldn't help but smile at his joyful, playful attitude.

Sadly, Hector passed away earlier this year, needless to say, it was a very sad time at the TreeLand.  Our vet. was very familiar with Hector's personality put us in touch with someone who had recently rescued a German Shephard from a bad situation.  We fell in love with Nicholas - he looks shockingly similar to Hector, and he definitely shares Hector's attitude and personality.  He's still a puppy, so fetching is a little difficult for his young attention span, but he definitely will entertain and great guests with a warm 'hello'!

In Hector's memory, we will be accepting donations for New Leash On Life. You can learn more about them on their website: www.NewLeashOnLine.org.

Their efforts to control animal over-population, provide quality spay and neuter clinics, assist in adoptions, and educate the public are greatly appreciated and we are honored to help support their efforts.  If you'd like to make a donation during your visit we'd appreciate it and Hector would definitely approve!
